The American Indian Cancer Foundation’s (AICAF) Prevention & Policy Program aims to engage, educate and empower American Indian and Alaska Native communities to implement healthy lifestyle practices that can help reduce cancer risks in Indian Country. The team provides technical assistance to tribes and Native organizations in developing tribal resolutions and policies that improve health outcomes. We utilize culturally-appropriate resources to engage community members and stakeholders, and to inspire Policy, Systems, and Environmental changes. Currently, Prevention & Policy staff focus their efforts on tobacco cessation, healthy eating and physical activity.
